Brasil
I grew up in a soccer household. My brother and father both were athletes, and although I couldn’t dribble a ball to save my life, I knew about the sport from a very young age. Brasil shows a woman in Brazilian colors dribbling a soccer ball in front of a crowd of spectators. Influenced by a famous female footballer’s form, this piece pays homage to all of the women dominating male-dominated sports from basketball to soccer. I gave her a fresh set to show a little spunkiness in her character, although I knew false nails are a big no-no in sports (former volleyball player here).
